Michael Barrett
Chief Executive Officer

Michael Barrett has over 22 years of experience in municipal planning and health care administration. He began his career with the County of Oxford as a planner in several municipalities.  Michael moved into health care with the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care in 2000, where he became Manager of Planning and Support at the South West Regional office.  He has also worked with the Paediatric and Perinatal Partnerships of Southwestern Ontario through the London hospitals, and as the Business Manager for Women and Children’s Services at London Health Sciences Centre (LHSC).  Michael joined the South West LHIN as a Senior Director, in 2007 and was appointed the Chief Executive Officer by the South West LHIN Board of Directors in 2008.  Michael holds a Master of Public Administration degree from the University of Western Ontario, and is currently the Vice President of the Ronald McDonald House of Southwestern Ontario.

Senior Director, Performance & Accountability

Mark Brintnell joined the South West LHIN in 2006 and brings his focus and experience in financial and program accountability, business planning and analysis and performance management within the healthcare field.  As Senior Director, Performance & Accountability, Mark is responsible for providing strategic and operational direction to the financial management and performance improvement mandate of the LHIN.  Previously, Mark held positions with London’s hospitals, the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care and the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing.

Kelly Gillis
Senior Director, System Design & Integration
Kelly Gillis has more than fifteen years of leadership experience in the health care sector focusing on strategic planning and system integration within southwestern Ontario. Most recently, Kelly worked for London's hospitals as Director of Medical Affairs. She has also worked as the systems integration leader for the Huron Perth Hospitals Partnership and as a senior health planner with the Huron Perth and Thames Valley District Health councils. Prior to joining the District Health Council system, Kelly worked in the long-term care, mental health and addictions sectors.

Controller & Manager of Corporate Services

Lisa Johnson, formerly a financial analyst with the South West LHIN, has been promoted into the role of Controller & Manager of Corporate Services. Prior to joining the LHIN, Lisa was a financial coordinator and senior financial analyst with the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care (MOHLTC) Regional Office in London.  During her time with the MOHLTC Regional Office, she was also seconded to the Huron & Perth Counties Community Care Access Centres (CCACs) to act as their business manager.  Lisa is a Certified General Accountant and has an honours Bachelor of Commerce degree from Laurentian University.

Director of Communications & Community Engagement
Mary Ellen Khan has 20 years communications and business experience with a focus on strategic planning and leading project implementation. As Director of Communications & Community Engagement, Mary Ellen is responsible for providing strategic direction in communicating the vision and goals of the LHIN. Prior to joining the LHIN, Mary Ellen was Director of Media Strategies/Project Management at a marketing communications company where she developed and implemented communications plans across a wide range of sectors including financial, consumer goods, fundraising and research networks. Recently Mary Ellen developed curriculum for and instructed two courses in Western’s post-graduate Marketing Diploma program: Emerging Trends in Marketing and Contemporary Media.

Glenn Lanteigne
Chief Information Officer & eHealth Lead
Glenn Lanteigne joined the South West LHIN as chief information officer on August 3rd, 2010. In his new role, Glenn will provide direct leadership and accountability for the creation and implementation of a shared LHIN wide eHealth strategic plan that will ensure an integrated, aligned, and community-responsive health care system.  He is responsible for electronic and information sharing initiatives to promote, maintain and improve health care delivery throughout the LHIN.  Glenn brings over 18 years of leadership, management, and consulting experience across the entire healthcare continuum. Most recently, Glenn was the director, healthcare at TELUS Healthcare Solutions providing overall strategic leadership for a full range of business and electronic health initiatives in regional care, acute care, community care, primary care, home care and consumer care. Glenn is a graduate of the Royal Military College of Canada where he holds an honours degree in economics and politics.  In addition, Glenn holds an MBA from the Telfer School of Management at the University of Ottawa and a Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
