Aging at Home strategy

On August 28, 2007, the Ontario government announced the Aging at Home strategy to help seniors live healthy, independent lives in their own homes. This three-year, $700-million initiative will be led by the Local Health Integration Networks, with each LHIN receiving a specific funding allocation to meet the needs of local communities. The South West LHIN was allotted $55,163,982 for the three-year funding period ending 2010-11, in addition to $236,000 for the 2007-08 fiscal year for planning purposes.
